Overall, my career path has been very diverse and positive. I was encouraged and given the independence to follow projects and pursue education that grabbed my interest.
How would you describe your role?
As the Global Head of Revenue Operations, I am responsible for reporting financial KPIs & OKRs, conducting business analysis & analytics, and supporting all the go-to-market teams. I also work on enhancing our data visualization and systems to ensure that the data is actionable and insightful.
Why did you join Preqin?
I joined Preqin for two main reasons. First, the environment is motivating and, as a result, pushed me to expand my skillsets. There has never been a period of complacency which has greatly contributed to both my personal and career growth. Second, the company culture stands out from the rest. There is always a social event and various company-sponsored sports teams, which provide me with the opportunity to meet colleagues outside of my team.
What advice would you give to someone who would like to have a career in Finance at Preqin?
I would get to know the industry that Preqin is in, understand what Preqin does, and how it impacts businesses. There are also various roles in finance and the best way to learn more about them is to reach out to people on LinkedIn.
What has your career trajectory looked like at Preqin?
Overall, my career path has been very diverse and positive. I started off as an analyst and was not limited to this job description. I was encouraged and given the independence to follow projects and pursue education that grabbed my interest. For example, I was supported to attain my Salesforce certification, Alteryx certification, and BI courses. This has molded me to better achieve certain career milestones.
What do you like to do outside of work?
I enjoy playing with various software programs, crafting my own jewelry, and playing football. I have also been learning how to cook through different YouTube channels – unfortunately, the output has been hit or miss.
