The Rise of Private Debt Funds in Saudi Arabia 2024

 

Private debt is emerging as an increasingly attractive asset class in Saudi Arabia, supported by the Kingdom’s plans to accelerate investment and transform its oil-reliant economy. Although private debt in the region is still in its early stages, nine private debt funds investing in Saudi Arabia have reached final close since the Saudi government launched its Vision 2030 plan in 2016. To date, $1.18bn has been raised, with eight funds still in market targeting more than $1.77bn as of Q3 2024.
